Usain Bolt Won Gold Metal By 1/100 of a Second in 100 Meter Title

Congratulations, Usain Bolt on winning the gold at Beijing’s World Championship!

This is his ninth gold metal in the title, but this one came at an amazing time. The Jamaican champion won by a hundredth of a second against USA’s Justin Gatlin. At exactly 9.79 seconds, Bolt carried home another victory putting to bed all negative talk when he struggled during the summer almost falling.

Usain Bolt wowed spectators, especially the legendary eight time world champion, Michael Johnson.

“Usain Bolt was challenged here more than he has been at any time during his career. Put on top of that the burden of ‘saving the sport’ which was placed on his shoulders, it means that the pressure was there. I have to give him so much credit for that performance.”
