Fetty Wap Meets Fan He Inspired To Go Without Prosthetic Eye
In a heartwarming moment coming full circle, Fetty Wap recently met a young boy who he inspired to go without his prosthetic eye.
Months ago news broke about a mother, Brenda Vaden, penning a touching letter to Fetty Wap after her son Jaden chose to not wear a prosthetic eye. Jaden, 11, who lost his sight due to Retinoblastoma (cancer of the eye), opted to stop wearing his prosthetic eye after seeing his favorite rapper bravely enter the spotlight without his.
What touched fans even more was that Fetty responded to the mother’s note.
And just last week, Fetty made sure to invite Jaden and his mother backstage at his Monster Outbreak Energy Tour stop in Denver to take pictures, chat, and gift the young boy with #RemyBoyz gear.
Not only was it the time of Jaden’s life, but also a memorable moment for Fetty himself, who told People Mag:
“I’m glad that I was able to give him the courage to take out his prosthesis. I know how it feels to be picked on. I’ve been talked about my whole entire life. The only difference now is they’re saying good things about the guy with one eye. I’m proud of Jayden and I appreciate him more than he may know.”
Go Fetty !
