We’d like to introduce you to a man named Bob Brown, an 80-year old civil rights activist who’s passion to give back is unmatched. In the last couple decades, according to Huffington Post, Mr. Brown has donated a remarkable 5 million books to Africa.
As amazing as that is, it wasn’t enough for Brown. For this holiday season, with the help of UPS’s Wish Delivered Campaign, Brown will be donating an additional 180 tons of books to schools across the continent over the next three years. Amazing!
The man who was good friends with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., an advisor to the Mandela family, as well as a former member of the White House cabinet, Bob Brown has done more in his lifetime than most can ever dream to do. The world needs more people like Mr. Brown.
To coincide with the campaign, UPS put together an uplifting video interview with Mr. Brown where he explains his passion for books, why he wants to help Africa and much more. Check it out below and learn more about Bob’s foundation International Book Smart.
