The longtime host of the famous shows we have watched for years, Regis Philbin has passed away at the age of 88. It is still unknown what is the cause of death. Philbin passed just one month before turning 89.

He was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. Well known for his New York accent
, that we all grew to love. Regis would have been celebrating his 89th birthday, on August 24th.

Regis Philbin started his career in the 50’s, rotating hosting gigs. His first major break was hosting on “The Steve Allen Show,” back in the 70’s. From then on he become someone we truly loved seeing on our TV screens.

Philbin leaves behind his loving family and his legacy of hosting, which will go down in history.
