The ‘grown-ish’ Season 3 Mid-Season Premiere Is Here
It’s time for the hair, the wardrobe, the drama, and all the things that is the crew of Cal U. The grown-ish mid-season premiere is Thursday, January 21st and Zoey Johnson, played by Yara Shahidi, is living her dream life. After dropping out in the mid-season finale, she is now the full-time celebrity stylist for Joey Bada$$. His protégé Indigo, played by Saweetie, is Zoey’s newest client. This cameo will be the rappers acting debut.
The show was meant to return earlier but production was delayed due to the pandemic. The trailer not only gives fans a glimpse into what’s happening in Zoey’s life but the rest of the cast as well.

The third season of grown-ish follows the Cal U gang as they navigate the second half of junior year and begin to step out as adults into the real world. After dropping out to focus on her fashion career, Zoey wonders if life outside of Cal U is all it’s cracked up to be or if she still has some growing left to do.
The series stars Yara Shahidi, Trevor Jackson, Francia Raisa, Emily Arlook, Jordan Buhat, Chloe Bailey, Halle Bailey, Luka Sabbat and Diggy Simmons.
The series is produced by ABC Signature, a part of Disney Television Studios. It is executive produced by Kenya Barris, Julie Bean, Jenifer Rice-Genzuk Henry, Craig Doyle, Yara Shahidi, Anthony Anderson, Laurence Fishburne, Helen Sugland and E. Brian Dobbins.
From navigating Nomi’s pregnancy, Trevor’s off and on again fling with Zoey, and Doug and Jazz’s relationship pause, the return of grown-ish is long-awaited.
Grown-ish was also renewed for a fourth season so fans will have a front-row seat to Zoey’s path into adulthood. The mid-season premiere of season three will air on Freeform, January 21, 2021, at 8 pm ET. You can catch up on the first half of the show by streaming it on Hulu.
