Celebrity Trainers Or Pro Marketers?
Who are the amazing personal trainers that are behind the sexy bodies of the stars that you want to look like? Better yet how did they become a personal trainer to the stars?
Stars like Carrie Underwood, Britney Spears, Diddy, Gwyneth Paltrow, J-Lo, Kim Kardashian, Madonna, etc. have personal trainers to help them look and feel great. The new trend is that the trainers themselves are now riding their clients fame into their own spotlights to become part of the rich and famous. Trainers in this category include people like Tracey Anderson, Bob Greene and Gunnar Peterson. In most cases they are no different than the trainers at your local gym. To train the stars no formal requirements are needed. The truth is that most celebrity trainers simply happen to be at the right place at the right time or know the right people. Once a trainer has established at least one superstar client they then can be endorsement by them.
If celebrity tweets about a trainer more people will want to train with him/her and there is now a demand for the trainer. Some celebrity trainers do not even have proper education or certifications to back up their claims. There has been recent criticism of Jillian Michaels about her yoga and kettlebell DVD’s. During the filming she was not certified to teach the exercises and used improper technique. Despite her questionable advice she has the ability to generate millions of dollars because of her celebrity status.
Make sure to do your research first, find testimonials about the trainer and to look at any youtube or personal websites. Celebrity trainers are also featured in newspapers and on entertainment programs offering diet and nutrition advice without proper certifications. Do your research and make sure the trainer you are taking advice from is properly educated and certified.
