Woman Makes History Becoming Harvard Law School’s First Deaf-Blind Graduate

This week Haben Girma made history by becoming Harvard Law Schoool’s first deaf-blind graduate. Despite her disabilities her thirst for academic success propelled her to achieve what many thought was impossible.

The Americans with Disabilities Act has provided Girma with many opportunities allowing her to defy tremendous odds. For years the attorney has used her experiences and knowledge to advocate for other individuals with disabilities. She a firm believer that disabilities should not hinder a persons success or their ability to pursue their dreams.
