Outback Steakhouse thinks it could be! in light of recent discourse within our government, popular restaurant chain Outback Steakhouse has offered up their dinner table for four invited government officials to hash it our over a meal. In their “No rules. Just figure it out” initiative, The Outback has set up a dinner table located at 4821 North First St. in Arlington, VA. for the first ever “Steakhouse Summit” where they propose President Obama, Speaker John Boehner, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell come together, on neutral ground, to eat and work out the current crisis our government is enduring.
“What can’t be solved when you table up to a steak dinner?” asked Mike Kappitt, Outback Steakhouse Chief Marketing Officer. “We’ve got a table roped off and a steak dinner ready to roll whenever our leaders are ready to sit down to dinner.”
While we doubt the President and other government officials will be dining at Outback Steakhouse’s pop-up shop of sorts, this is definitely a great marketing tool and some timely, clever thinking on their behalf. If only things were that simple.
