Stone Mountain Park, Georgia is home to a monumental statue honoring Civil War confederate leaders. However, with the movement of removing all things Confederate, one Georgia man thinks it’s time for another change.
Mack Williams has created a petition to add none other than Georgia natives Big Boi and Andre 3000 as new figures in the Stone Mountain statues. He believes the Outkast members will be the perfect representation of their cultural progression. Mack said,
“It’s high time we added a bit more of our history and culture to this monument. Outkast are two of the greatest Georgians in the history of our state. It’s about time the Empire State of the South paid proper tribute to them.”
He and his supporters have a goal of 10,000 signatures to bring the idea to the Georgia State House’s attention. Let’s see if Rep. Johnson will join the #StankMountain movement.
