If you’re a fan of the DC Super Hero Girls web series, than you’re in for a treat. Warner Bros. has announced that the popular line will now find its way to the TV screens as DC Super Hero Girls will officially become a full, animated series on Cartoon Network.
The TV series will premiere some time in 2018 and will include the expected, popular cast of: Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Batgirl, Bumblebee, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy. We will also see new recruits such as Zatanna and Green Lantern Jessica Cruz.
Via an official press release, here’s what to expect
The world may know them as Wonder Woman, Supergirl and Batgirl, but not-so-typical teenagers Diana, Kara and Barbara, alongside their Super Hero friends have much more to deal with than just protecting the citizens of Metropolis from some of the most sinister school-aged Super-Villains of the DC Universe. After all, being teens is tough enough, what with school, friends, family and the chaos that comes with managing a social life. But add super powers and a secret identity to the mix, and things can get a lot more complicated.
Since 2015, the DC Super Hero Girls line has been an inspirational success. With a focus on teaching young kids (especially young girls) that they can do anything they set their mind to, we’d confidently say DC and Warner Bros. are succeeding so far.
