The date has been set where organizations everywhere come together recognize the importance of protecting women.
The United Day of Women declaration is the newest movement by a coalition of women’s movement. The motivation behind this is to bring awareness to the national need of recognizing women’s rights. A giant conference call, taking place December 3rd, will be made with leaders from Planned Parenthood, Black Lives Matter, and more to initiate nation-wide strategy sessions with others leaders within local communities.
“We are proud to join the United Day of Women – as we come together to stand up for women and families across the country. At this moment, it’s more important than ever,” said Cecile Richards, President of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America. “Millions of women across this country are worried about the future of their rights, and about their ability to access reproductive health care. Planned Parenthood has stood defiant in the face of opposition for the last 100 years, and we plan on being around for at least 100 more. We will never back down, and we will never stop providing the care and education our communities need. Planned Parenthood’s doors stay open, no matter what.”
