As Women’s History Month marches on, we want to take a moment to recognize a few women that prove, “yes, women can do it all.” Life is a juggling act but with proper preparation and the right mindset, there are very few things that you can’t accomplish.
Below are 10 women that play the roles of mothers, wives, friends, boss ladies and so much more.
1. June Ambrose
She’s a mother, a wife, a social butterfly and also the stylist to a laundry list of our most fashionable celebrities. Ms. June Ambrose does a great job of keeping it all together even when her plate is obviously filled to the brim. The best part, with her Instagram posts, she makes us feel like we’re right there with her the entire time.
2. Jada Pinkett Smith
Mrs. Smith is the mother to two talented children and the wife to award winning actor Will Smith. Most importantly, she has worked diligently to become a talented and notable actress herself. Raising two children and being a wife can be a handful but the “Set It Off” actress makes it seem oh so easy.
Being Beyonce’s sister is a full time role in itself (we can only imagine) but Ms. Solange Knowles is so much more. She is a mother to Julez, a newlywed (her wedding photos had the internet booming) and not to mention, she is the art consultant and creative director at Puma. Now that, is what we can call a juggling act.
4. Gabrielle Union
Although Gabrielle Union is not a mother, she is a certainly a career woman that hasn’t stopped working since she stepped foot into this industry. The Being Mary Jane actress is married to NBA player Dwayne Wade and has crossed our television screens more times than we can count.
5. LaLa Anthony
Ms. Lala Anthony is a mother, a wife, an author, a radio host and personality and an actress. With so many roles one may question, “How does she do it all?” Active on her Instagram, we’re able to catch a glimpse to how she manages mommy-hood and being a boss lady.
6. Angelina Jolie
It goes without saying that Angelina has had her fair share of media spotlight. Angelina has been an active force in our culture all while being a wife, a mother to six and a humanitarian. She has also been an active voice for the importance of getting breast examinations for women.
7. Wendy Williams
The media personality has been in the game for a mighty long time. She started on the radio and later moved over to the television screen with her show The Wendy Williams Show (which recently celebrated its’ 1000th episode). She is also the mother to a teenage son, Kevin and wife.
8. Angie Martinez
Also known as The Voice of New York, Ms. Angie Martinez has been in the entertainment and music industry for over 20 years. She held roles at a number of radio stations and she also pursued a rap career at one point prior to landing at her new gig Power 105.1. She is also an author to Healthy Latin Eating cook book and a mother to a 12 year old son.
9. Alicia Keys
This singing powerhouse is always on the go. She recently slowed down to give birth to her second son, Genesis Ali Dean, but in no time we’re certain she’ll be back to the busy lady we know. She is married to producer Swizz Beats and her active participation to raising HIV and AIDs awareness around the world has not gone unnoticed.
