Fashion Spotlight: Renata Eileena Custom Shoes

By Posted on 0 2 m read

Women love a few things and one of those things are SHOES!

As designers have just  stormed runways with their  new spring/summer 2015  shoes designs, fashionistas are left determining which shoes will compliment their outfits best! Will it be the Valentino studded shoe, will it be the new Christian Louboutin pump or an edgy Sophia Webster design. While all these shoes are head turners, nothing turn heads like a shoe no one has. Yes, a shoe made just for you!  Now you ask, where can I get a custom shoe that is of good quality, match my personality, not too  over the edge, but still sets the trend…. my answer is Renata Eileena Custom shoes!

“Renata Eileena is a Philadelphia native whose love for fashion and creativity started at a young age, and blossomed as an adult. At an early age Renata would make bold fashion statements, mixed with bright colors and LOTS of style.

The passionate designer would go on to pursue fashion and also to be featured on VH1’s Lala’s fullcourt life for all things inspirational. RenataEileena is a teacher, motivator designer and founder of RenataEileena LLC.

Our goal is to create custom pieces for the BOLD, FEARLESS and CREATIVE woman. It’s not every day that we have the confidence to walk outside in the most show stopping shoes. While turning heads is the goal, Renata Eileena’s unique pieces speak one word…CONFIDENCE! Renata Eileenas shoes are for those women who are confident enough to be the show stopper and the topic of discussion!! We ALL have to buy shoes why not buy custom ones that are sure to NEVER be seen on anyone else’s feet. Unique and BOLD trendsetting is what Renata Eileena Custom shoes represent. Be BOLD, Be UNIQUE, Be Different.”

Civil’s Look of the Week: Denim Days

Denim is a must have trend this season. Every  fashionista from  Beyoncé to J-Lo to Rihanna, have been  pictured out and about embracing their denim looks.  While denim is a major trend, it is not the denim itself that makes the look pop, it is the accessories. For the look of the week, I took a  plain denim jumpsuit and accessorized the jumpsuit to make it more appealing and colorful.   I opted to  use Giuseppe Zanotti’s 115mm Patchwork Suede Ankle Boots as the statement piece of the outfit. I then took the colors in the design of the boots and identified a silver ring set and scarf from Pretty Committee, LLC.  Last,  I  added Saint Laurent Classic Monogramme Sequinned Clutch to  complete the look.

To get the “Denim Days:”

Pretty  Committee, LLC. Ring Set

Saint Laurent Clutch

Denim Jumpsuit

The New York based clothing line was authentically created by designer Tanise Francis, who decided to play with fashion and create two very different pieces with the same fabric, hence the name “Fabric Twinz.”

Fabric Twinz prides itself on being able to cater to the everyday woman and industry’s elite. The line has already taken the fashion scene by storms with its jaw dropping designs on Lil Kim, R&B sensation Michelle, actress Elise Neal, Terri Vaughn, Rocsi Diaz. Reality TV stars Thairy Jose, Shaunie O Neal, and Jennifer Williams.   CEO and designer, Francis shared “Fabric Twinz is able to appeal to women of all backgrounds.” What I found “fashionably civil” about Fabric Twinz is the line’s ability to present women in an intriguing, yet sophisticated way.

Civil’s Accessory Trend: Abenaa Gold Plated Name Plates

By Posted on 0 1 m read

Fall 2014 is here and while most fashionistas are stocking their closets with season’s clothing trends, one should not  forget about their accessories!

Yes ACCESSORIES! Essentially, accessories are  a vital piece of one’s outfit, because they can make or break the look.

When choosing accessories it is important to first visualize your look. If one’s outfit is made up of all solids and plain colors, it is okay to go all out with loud accessories that pop. If your look is heavy with colors and patterns, one may want to opt for a simple plain color accessories with little to no detail.

If you are  unsure of what accessory to choose,  gold plated name plates are on trend and the perfect accessory to any plain or  over the top look. Gold plated necklaces gives a chic, yet sophisticated appeal.

If you are looking for the perfect gold name plate, I came across Abenaa’s customize name plates. The company offers consumers the option of purchasing customized English inscribed  name plates or customized Arbabic inscribed name plates. The name plates are described as  “18K GOLD PLATED CHAIN LENGTH 40CM+4CM ADJUSTMENT. “

One can get the customer pieces from : Abenaa’s Jewels

With Memorial Weekend being just 2 days away, its only right that one is fashionably ready for the beach. Today’s look of the day, “Memorial Blue,” is the perfect day time look for the beach or the pool. “Memorial Blue” is designed around an H&M  Aqua colored H&M beach tunic. The tunic is accessorized with a Betsy Johnson nautical charm bracelet, a BCBGeneration “true love” bracelet, Karen Walker round sunglasses and a pair of clear thong sandals. Following the color scheme of the look of the season, we suggest Tru Kream “Army Brat” eye shadow and Tru Kream “Wifey” lipstick for make up options.

Civil’s Look of the Day: Egypt

By Posted on 0 1 m read

Today’s look of the day, Egypt, was inspired about my fascination with ancient Egypt’s culture. “Egypt” features a Top Shop strappy cross back black maxi dress as the main piece. To make a statement, I paired the maxi dress with a yellow printed turban head wrap, which by the way are very affordable. For accessories, I went for the traditional gold’s, often seen in ancient Egyptian photos. To play of the yellows and browns in the head wraps, I included an exotic pair of gold with brown accent “Sarabi” earrings, which can be found at Meenesshouz . Because the earrings and turban are loud, I went for a simple gold stack bangle set from Forever 21. If u wish to really get into the Egyptian spirit, add a touch of nail art, as pictured.

Civil’s Look of the Day: Kenzo Comfort

By Posted on 1 1 m read

Living in the “Big Apple,” I am  constantly ripping and running. While heels are fun, sexy and flirty, the truth is, when one has multiple errands to do, shoes or heels may not be the best option in this concrete jungle. Today’s look of the day, Kenzo Comfort, illustrates how one can be stylish and comfortable all at once. Yes, ladies you do not need heels to be stylish! The look of the day features a Kenzo printed t-shirt paired with a comfortable pair of joggers To give the look a more chic feel, I opted to add a black short blazer. The look was completed with a pair of white Isabel Marant sneakers.

By Posted on 1 1 m read

Coachella is rapidly approaching and  one thing that is on most fashionistas mind is: WHAT TO WEAR? No worries, LiveCivil has your covered!

When putting together the look, Coachella, I decided to build around a 90’s cut out black maxi dress. For accessories, I included a Juicy Couture fedora hat and a Tory Burch crossbody bag. When picking the jewelry, I opted to play off the Tory Burch gold symbol and added a gold statement ring and gold watch. Last, for footwear, I went for the bold and fierce Giuseppe Zanotti Design leaf embellished sandal. The overall look allows one to be fashionable, cool and comfy during Coachella activities.
