ESPN lost its beloved anchor Stuart Scott earlier this year, but his legacy still lives within us.
The long time sports legend will be honored at his alma mater in the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill during their Journalism Hall of Fame ceremony later this month.
The dean of the UNC School of Media and Journalism says, “ Stuart Scott was an original who defined his brand of sports reporting. He challenged the generation after him to be authentic and to find their voices as broadcasters. That may be his strongest professional legacy.”
According to the UNC site, the ceremony will take place on October 23rd, at the Alumni Hall in the University’s George Watts Hill Alumni Center and tickets are still available for the public starting at $75.
