Rihanna is hands down one of the most fashionable artists of our time. Bad Gal RiRi has revealed that she will be diving more into the industry by collaborating with The New School’s Parsons School of Design, Donna Karan’s Urban Zen Foundation and Haitian artists to develop a new line full of merchandise.
All sales will benefit the Gramm winner’s Clara Lionel Foundation. The Clara Lionel Foundation’s goal is to better impoverished communities worldwide in important areas like health care and education.
Hand-picked students from the art and design school with have the chance of a lifetime to work with local Haitian artists at the Design, Organization, Training Center in Port-au-Prince. The center is a creative meeting place that offers vocational training and materials to the Haitian artist community.
On May 22, Rihanna will be honored at the Parsons Benefit in NYC and will reveal the winning candidates of the Design Fellowship program. This program will send parsons students to Haiti for six to eight weeks in June!
