I was recently told about The Law of Attraction by a stranger at a family gathering. I was fresh off of vacation from Puerto Rico and completely exhausted, but I felt an obligation to suck it up and attend the gathering that night. I’m glad I did.
We were all having a good time, laughing, talking, and dancing when the conversation struck about “The Law Of Attraction.” We all know when people get to drinking they turn into super philosophers, life coaches, and motivational speakers, but this conversation was different.
The law of attraction is the name given to the maxim “like attracts like,” which in New Thought philosophy is used to sum up the idea that by focusing on positive or negative thoughts, a person brings positive or negative experiences into their life. I know what some readers may be thinking right now: “Here we go again, this crazy hippie/universe/vibes talk,” but the truth is you have to feel good about yourself to attract what you truly want for yourself. Thoughts are turned into actions, whether they are physically seen, or an energy that is felt. The Law Of Attraction is a practice that may help you in bringing about more positive situations in your life if you use it the right way.
A large portion of our society tend to focus on the negative more than the positive, and sometimes without even realizing it. As children, our negative actions and moments were focused on and remembered much more than our positive actions and moments. Think about it…you remember the times you got punished, more than the times you got rewarded.
“Most of us were taught to believe in our limitations and to doubt our strengths. We learned to focus on our problems and deny our divinity. We were trained to respect the authorities above us—not the highest authority within us.” – Unknown.
Continuing to focus on these negative thoughts will only bring about negative outcomes and situations. If we want to live a more positive life we must start to think positively and speak what we want into existence. Here’s some tips we have for you:
5 Ways To Simply Apply The Law Of Attraction:
- Become what you think about the most.
- Let your thoughts dictate your feelings
- Begin to talk about what you want with others and enroll them in your dreams, desires, and wants.
- Use positive mantras like “I am..” followed by who you want to be.
- Take actions that align with what you want.
