On Thursday (Oct. 15) Prince William attended the 21st anniversary dinner for the the charity, Child Bereavement UK. During the event William honored his mother, Princess Diana, whom also attended the event years ago, with a heartfelt speech.
“Twenty-one years ago last month, my mother attended the launch of the Child Bereavement Charity,” he told the crowd. “Fifteen years later, I was honored to be invited to become Patron of Child Bereavement UK to continue my mother’s commitment to a charity, which is very dear to me.”
William went own to talk about how his mother believed in the charity and many other charities. Prince William said he realized the importance of children when he became a father. He believes that charities offer “warmth” and “comfort” to children who are struggling the most.
Needless to say there wasn’t a dry eye in the house at this charity event.
