For many, the last couple weeks have consisted of squeezing in a few more beach visits, enjoying the lack of academic responsibilities, and simply making the best of the time away from school. Whether your summer consisted of working, studying abroad, traveling or taking courses, the truth is, it’s all slowly coming to an end. As the summer winds down it is time to mentally and physically prepare for another semester. Below are some tips that are sure to get your Fall Smester off on the right foot.
1. Invest in a planner: Organization is key! From class assignments to organizational responsibilities, and a very active social life, it’s not easy to store everything in your brain. In fact, by keeping everything in your brain, you’re bound to forget at least one thing. Studies show, when an individual writes something down, they are more inclined to remember what they’re supposed to do and actually get it done.
2. Create a bucket list: Just because the summer is practically over doesn’t mean the fun has to be. Get together with a group of friends and create a bucket list of things you guys want to accomplish before the end of the semester. This will keep your semester interesting and it will limit the number of times you ask, “What is there to do tonight?”
