Cha’iel Johnson is following in her father Chad “Ochocinco’s” foot steps when it comes to sports. Ochocinco isn’t the only fast member of his family. Cha’iel won the 12-year-old girls 800 meter run with a time of 2:14.80 breaking the 14yo 800m record. Tomorrow she will be racing in the girls 1500 meter race and at the end of July she will head to Michigan for the AAU Junior Olympics.
“You know this kid is going to dominate,” said Darius Lawshea, Johnson’s coach, to Mile Split USA. “She’s going to shock some people.”
Young Cha’iel is destined for greatness on the track field, she already has two consecutive wins at the AAU Junior Olympic championships in the 400 and 800 meters when she was 10 and 11 years old. Watch the track star talk about her win below:
