Nicki Minaj will be one of the honorees at Billboard’s 14th Annual Women in Music event after she became the first woman to earn 100 appearances on Billboard Hot 100 chart! Because of this accomplishment, Billboard announced that the rap icon will be receiving the “Game Changer” award at their 14th annual event. Not only is Nicki Minaj breaking records, but she also is breaking barriers for other female artists during her four-studio album career.
“Billboard’s Women in Music is an annual opportunity for us to celebrate undeniably influential women from across the industry. This year, with honorees like Alanis Morisette, Brandi Carlile, Desiree Perez and Nicki Miniaj, we are excited to highlight a diverse group of women pushing limits and breaking boundaries,” Billboard Editorial Director Hannah Karp said.
The event and red carpet pre-show will stream live on December 12th on Youtube Music from the Hollywood Palladium starting at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT.
