Nickelodeon’s New Show ‘Loud House’ To Feature Interracial Married Gay Couple

Talk about setting a precedent!

Popular TV station Nickelodeon has a popular show on their hands with Loud House, which is currently in their first season. On tomorrow’s episode (7/20), the cartoon network will make history as they introduce the network’s very first interracial married gay couple.

EW reports:

“Clyde McBride’s parents, Harold and Howard, are a gay, interracial married couple in the series, EW has confirmed. The characters will be voiced by comedians Wayne Brady and Michael McDonald. Loud House, currently in its first season, follows Lincoln Loud, who struggles being the only boy in a family where he is outnumbered by his 10 sisters. Clyde McBride is one of Lincoln’s friends.”

This unprecedented move is an important one for the TV/cartoon world. Equality trumps all, and Nickelodeon clearly understands that.

The long-awaited and highly anticipated episode of Loud House will air Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET on Nickelodeon.
