Abraham Attah is going to receive an education free of charge, thanks to Netflix.
The Beasts of No Nation child actor had very little education when he was picked up by producers to play in the film starring Idris Elba. The 14-year-old street vendor innocently stepped into the world of acting and now he’s getting a lot more than just fame.
Executives of the streaming network decided to pay for Abraham’s school funds during his entire 4 years of high school. Director Cary Fukunaga told Business Insider:
“Technically he’s in 7th grade, but I think there’s a lot of be caught up on including reading comprehension, and that’s essential to his script reading if he wants to do more acting in the future.”
Congratulations, Abraham! Can’t wait to see you in Beasts of No Nation, available now.
