Malala Yousafzai is not your typical teen.
The 18-year-old teen celebrated her birthday in a very unique and giving back way. The Nobel Peace Prize winner made sure she marked her huge milestone by opening up an all girls school in Lebanon.
The school is for Syrian refugees in Lebanon and it’s located near the Syrian border which will proved an education to nearly almost 200 Syrian girls.
Yousafzai told Reauters in Bekaa Valley that she decided to do it in Lebanon because she believes the voices of the Syrian refugees need to be heard and have been ignored for a long time.
Once her thoughtful idea got out on social media, many like Mrs. Obama applauded the teen and send her warm birthday wishes.
