Kevin Durant might be busy with the NBA season, but he’s always making sure to lean a helping hand.
The Oklahoma City Thunder player recently gave a generous gift to a school in Oklahoma City as he presented the elementary school with a $35,000 check.
The school’s program helps homeless children, and Durant’s money will go to a kitchen renovation project. Along with a wide variety of items which will include science kits, books and educational supplies for the OKC students.
Durant mentions “They needed some help and it was simple. I wanted to help them.”
Towards the end of his visit, Kevin Durant also had the opportunity to surprise each classroom while one kid was extremely excited and screamed, “My dream came true!”
Talk about a great deed during this season of giving!
#GivingIsGood 💚 @balleralert #BallerificCharity – Kevin Durant Donates $35,000 to Elementary School in OKC-blogged by @djb.jewelz #KevinDurant (@easymoneysniper) seems to be an all around good guy. From his #MVP status to his endorsements, he's always making moves. He's even dabbling in some charity work. A few years back, Durant found #PositiveTomorrows, an elementary school in #OklahomaCity specifically for homeless children. Since then, Durant has donated to the school three times. On Wednesday, the #OKCThunder star decided to visit the school and give a donation in person. He came with a check worth $35,000 that will go towards building a kitchen and buying food items. He even went in every classroom to meet with the students. One boy collapsed at the baller's surprise visit. Nice to see the #NBA star give back to the community.
