The late Alton Sterling was brutally and unlawfully shot and murdered by the police on July 5, 2016. Sterling was a 37-year-old black man who raised serval children, one of which is Cameron Sterling. A son losing his father is already a tough situation to go through, and it is hard to imagine how Sterling feels after losing him publicly to police brutality.
Sterling turned 16 years old earlier this week, and being the first birthday ever since his father’s passing it had the potential to be a sad and emotional day for him. But, instead the 16 year old was in high spirits celebrating his birthday with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who surprised him at The Saint Pablo Tour.
Justin Bamberg, the attorney for Sterling’s family, tweeted a photo Wednesday night featuring Sterling’s oldest son Cameron with a Saint Pablo tour pass standing between the power couple.

The day after Sterling’s death, Kardashian West posted a moving blog entitled “#BlackLivesMatter”, in which she wrote about her fears as a mother of a black son and our nation’s duty to take action against police brutality.
“I want my children to grow up knowing that their lives matter,” Kardashian West wrote. “I do not ever want to have to teach my son to be scared of the police, or tell him that he has to watch his back because the people we are told to trust — the people who ‘protect and serve’ — may not be protecting and serving him because of the color of his skin.”
Kim Kardashian West and Kanye West are often wrongfully ridiculed and written off as public figures of society who aren’t positively impacting the world, this was a delightful way to show love and respect to the Sterling family and such a cool experience for Cameron Sterling. There are better days ahead for the Sterling family and with strength within themselves and the support of others, this family will be able to turn their trials into triumph. #RIPAltonSterling
