Hudson Jeans asked me to take part in their “I Choose” Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign. During the month of October, for every purchase on their website hudsonjeans.com, $5 would be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

I  decided to wear one of my favorite jeans for the shoot, my black satten jerry hudson jeans and a simple beige top.

For my message, I wrote “I Choose to Live Civil.” it is a lifestyle I am encouraging all people to live by. Providing yourself with the will to overlook obstacles that are placed in front of us, is the first step. Living “Civil” means to live in positivity and peace, which are two attributes I believe help those who have breast cancer overcome. The Breast Cancer Foundation is an organization that helps many people get on the track to living civil. I am more than honored to have taken part in the Hudson BCRF project, and encourage everyone to read more about it.

The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® was founded in 1993 by Evelyn H. Lauder as an independent, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to funding innovative clinical and translational research. In October 2011, BCRF will award $36.5 million to 186 scientists across the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia and China. Currently, more than 90 cents of every dollar donated is directed to breast cancer research and awareness programs. With exceptionally low administrative costs, BCRF continues to be one of the most efficient organizations in the country and is designated an “A+” charity by The American Institute of Philanthropy, the only cancer organization to achieve this.
