Harriet Tubman Wins Vote to Replace Andrew Jackson on $20

By Posted on 2 1 m read

A couple weeks ago we reported about the organization Women on 20s whose primary goal was to petition and campaign to put a woman’s face on our paper currency. Well, weeks later we are happy to share that Harriet Tubman has won the vote to be placed on the $20 bill.

Although this was an unofficial campaign, the support that this movement garnered certainly shows that there a people that agree, “a women’s place is on the money.” With over 600,000 votes casted, Harriet Tubman came in first place with Eleanor Roosevelt not too far behind.

Check out the video above for more details about this movement. Use the hashtag #WomenOn20s to share your thoughts.
