A couple weeks ago we reported about the organization Women on 20s whose primary goal was to petition and campaign to put a woman’s face on our paper currency. Well, weeks later we are happy to share that Harriet Tubman has won the vote to be placed on the $20 bill.
Although this was an unofficial campaign, the support that this movement garnered certainly shows that there a people that agree, “a women’s place is on the money.” With over 600,000 votes casted, Harriet Tubman came in first place with Eleanor Roosevelt not too far behind.
