Producer Lesley Chilcott brought Codegirl to life, a documentary focussing on high girls a Technovation tournament.
Technovation is a competition that gives high school girls around the world the chance to go up against each other and create an app that will fix a problem in their community.
Other than possibly making a life changing piece of equipment, the two winners (one from ages 14 and younger, one from ages 14-19) will be awarded $10,000.
Huffington Post reported mega-company, Google, takes the issue of the lack of female representation in the tech world seriously. That’s why they are encouraging everyone to log onto their Amazon Instant Video, Google Play or iTunes account to watch the inspirational film November 6th.
