Over the weekend, Bravo held its first fan convention, Bravocon. The event brought out over 10,000 people, mostly women of all ages who were excited to meet some of their favorite television stars.
Their over 80 “Bravo-lebrities,” participated in meet in greets, panel discussions, photo ops, and more! The stars from their hit shows like Southern Charm, Million Dollar Listing, Below Deck, and the Real Housewives who came out this past weekend was the most amount of Bravo celebrities in one space, EVER. The largest moment of the convention was on Friday when the event kicked off with 76 Bravo stars hit the stage for a massive “WWHL” session.
Although this was the inaugural event, it’s been in works for years. Andy Cohen says, “We had the idea eight to 10 years ago. I’m so excited that Bravo finally decided to do it.” What sealed the deal according to Bravo’s VP of marketing was the fan’s reaction at the 2019 Los Angeles episode of “Watch What Happens Live.”
The goal of the convention was to market the various brand and platforms while providing fans who attended exclusive updates such as new shows that they can look forward to seeing. In 2020 new series including, “Basically Stassi” and “The Real Housewives of Salt Late City” are set to air.
Buzzfeed’s Sylvia Obell moderated the Real Housewives of Atlanta panel with Cynthia Bailey, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, and Eva Marcille. For more details of everything that happened this weekend, click here.
