Arianna Alexander has worked hard over the last four years in a high school and it’s safe to say her hard work paid off. Alexander, a senior at Kenwood Academy High School, graduated at the top of her class with her high school diploma in one hand and 26 acceptance letters and over $3 million in scholarships in the other.
The valedictorian earned a 5.1 grade point average on a 4.0 scale proving that she’s no armature to hard work. “It was a lot to take in. I received emails, letters. It was just like, ‘Come here, come here!’ They were bombarding me with all this information,” Arianna expressed.
She was encouraged to accomplish such a major goal when a previous student earned over $1 million in scholarships and if they could do it, so could she. And she did. Her dad’s encouraging words, “Work hard and pray on it and don’t give and no matter what happens, you did your best,” kept her focus during the entire process.
With the help of teachers and mentors, Alexander has decided to continue her academic journey at The University of Pennsylvania to study business at the Wharton School of Business. She has hopes of becoming an entrepreneur and pursuing a career in the restaurant industry.
