Brandy Sings On An NYC Subway In Incognito, And No One Notices

By Posted on 0 1 m read

Brandy Norwood has come a long way, and been a sensation in music for nearly two decades now.

Despite her fame and recent Chicago stardom, the singer and actress still couldn’t seem to grasp the attention of the tough crowd on a New York City subway car, where she performed in incognito.

Sporting a backpack, with a hoodie and glasses, Brandy stepped onto the subway at 72nd St. on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, where she tried to talk up the pack of people on board.

As no one seemed to notice her, or care for her comments, she started to sing a soft, but beautiful, song, with her even recognizing how much she sang her heart out.

Afterwards, she questioned her performance to those around her, who brushed her off, except for one man, who gave her advice on performing for a crowd, and keeping their attention.

Unfortunately, it looks like he still didn’t seem to realize who he was talking to. The video ends with Brandy getting off the train, laughing off what would be a disappointment to an on-the-rise artist.

See the video of Brandy singing on the subways below.

In the video above Ms. Hill and her crew, including her 7-year-old daughter, Sarah Marley, performed an acoustic version of her hit song “Doo Wop (That Thing)” from her debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.

On her official website the singer shared,

“Hello Lagos, Nigeria! We are disappointed to report that we will not be performing at tonight’s concert. From our end, we did everything we were supposed to do, including waiting at the airport for many hours, ready to fly out and share the evening with you. Unfortunately, after much effort, the promoter was not able to get all of our travel arrangements taken care of. This prevented us from being able to fly into Nigeria in time to make the concert. We were all very excited to come, and very disappointed that we couldn’t make this one. HOWEVER, we are working to reschedule our appearance ASAP. From what we’ve been told, the promoter intends to honor all tickets sold. Our best to and for Lagos. Love and Blessings!

[Listen] New Music From Niykee Heaton – Bad Intentions

By Posted on 57 1 m read

Not long ago, the beautiful Niykee Heaton did an amazing an unexpected cover of Chief Keef’s “Love Sosa” and “Hate Bein Sober” which got a ridiculous amount of youtube views (and some pretty wild comments) and brought her some much needed attention. Well the blonde beauty is back and this time with some music of her own, a track called “Bad Intentions”.

The track was produced for the 18-year-old singer/songwriter/musician by Arthur McArthur and definitely showcases what we’ve come to know and love about the Chicago born singer. No yet on whether or not Niykee’s struck a deal but with a voice and look like she’s got, we’re sure it won’t be long. Check out more from her by visiting her soundcloud page, and of course youtube where you can see all of her covers and original videos.
