Bullied 5th Grader Debuts Clothing Line At New York Fashion Week

By Posted on 1 1 m read

A 10-year-old East Coast girl who was bullied at school is likely making her bullies incredibly jealous these days, because the New Yorker debuted a collection line at this year’s New York Fashion Week.

In an interview with the TODAY show, Egypt Ufele told the show, “I turned negative attention into positive attention.” She continued to say how most kids at her Queens school gave her a hard time by saying, “I was bullied and they called me all kinds of names. One time I got stabbed with a pencil.”

Egypt adds that one of the words she was always targeted with was “Chubby” but mentioned that it was words like those that kept her motivated all along the way, which lead to her creating her own plus-size fashion line that she calls “ChubiiLine.”

Take a look at some of the images from her line below.

Wow and wow, again! Those clothes are BEAUTIFUL and I would wear half of them I can tell from just a glance.

Remarkable, talented young lady. I would say to her, because it’s the truth, she’s a beautiful little lady who can never allow her “shine” to dull under anyone. For any reason.

She’s so talented, I can’t believe she DID THIS!1 xo

I’m very proud of her and have every reason to believe she’s a name we are all going to see again.

God bless and keep her. 🙂
