The launch issue is here! Join Ayesha Curry, celebrity cook and author as she has launched her new lifestyle magazine on Tuesday titled, Sweet July. In collaboration with Meredith Corporation, a company based in Des Moines, Iowa that owns magazines, television stations, websites, and radio stations, the media conglomerate are doing something unexpected during the novel pandemic.
The magazine will be available on selected newsstands nationwide beginning this Friday and is available for mail-order purchase online. The magazine leverages Curry’s multi-talented capabilities. Curry is an actress, TV host, celebrity cook, Instagram influencer, New York Times best-selling author, and the other half to her NBA star husband Stephen Curry. By not much surprise, food and family are the common theme throughout the publication.

“This issue has 22 new recipes. It’s like getting a mini cookbook,” says Curry.
Curry looks forward to representing young black women in publication, being the first woman of color to publish her own magazine since Oprah Winfrey and the late B. Smith. Representing as founder and editorial director, Curry collaborates with Sweet July’s editor-in-chief Elizabeth Goodman Artis for content strategies. Sweet July comes from the connection Curry has with the month, she got married in July and her three kids have a birthday in the month.
Sweet July has a cover price of $9.99 and is available at Meredith’s Magazine Store, initially distributing 400,000 copies. Beginning April 24, Sweet July will also be available via Amazon, Apple News+, Zinio, and the Barnes & Noble Nook.
