As Angelina Jolie accepted her award for Favorite Movie Villain for her role in “Maleficent”, the actress/supermom had an inspiring message for attendees. “Different is good,” Angelina declared at the Nickelodeon’s 28th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards.
In her first public appearance since writing an open and honest opinion piece regarding her deciion to undergo preventive surgery to lower her risk of cancer, Jolie was surrounded by her daughters Shiloh and Zahara.
“I want to say when I was little, like Maleficent, I was told that I was different — and I felt out of place, and too loud, too full of fire, never good at sitting still, never good at fitting in. And then one day I realized something, something I hope you all realize. Different is good.”
