You’re never too old or too young to reach your goals, and that’s exactly what a 97-year-old woman from Michigan is teaching every single one of us.
According to The Huffington Post, Margaret Thome Bekema was finally abel to get her high school diploma after she was forced to drop out.
The 97-year-old woman says she would have graduated in 1936, but left during her junior year to take care of her siblings when her mom was ill with cancer. Shortly after, her mother passed away and Margaret had to take over the household along with her three younger siblings, which left her no time to attend school.
Fast forward to eight decades later, Margaret’s family witnessed when administrators from Catholic Central High School in Michigan presented her with her high school diploma.
What an amazing joyful moment!
