8-Year-Old Battling Cancer Uses ‘Make-A-Wish’ To Pick Up Trash

An eight-year-old Missouri girl battling brain cancer was given the chance to wish for anything and as TODAY reports, what she came up with has inspired those around her.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation gave Amelia Meyer the chance to wish for anything, but instead of choosing something extravagant and anything any young kid would like, she wanted to do a clean-up and pick up trash around her town.

The eight-year-old spoke about why she wanted to clean-up by saying, “It doesn’t look nice and another reason is because it can stay dirty and it can get animals sick.”

Ameila’s mother, Jill Meyer adds how she wasn’t surprised about her at all, and says, “She’s always been that kid I cannot get inside.
