50th Anniversary of The March On Washington & “I Have A Dream Speech” + NAACP’s Trayvon Martin Petition

By Posted on 0 1 m read

It’s a beautiful Saturday morning and an amazing day to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the March On Washington and Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic I Have A Dream Speech.

In a bittersweet moment, this day marks a milestone in Civil Rights and American History, as well as a new cause that today’s celebrations will now champion for. In the picture below are the families of Trayvon Martin and Emmitt Till who are both attending the commemoration ceremony in DC.

Along with the speeches, ceremonies and celebration of today, there is also a petition and campaign for further action in the Martin/Zimmerman case. For more information visit NAACP.com as well as live coverage of the march on all of the major news outlets.
